This week I have been focusing on a new beautiful mantra that has really made a positive impact on my week. It has resonated so easily with my life at the moment that I took to it straightaway and have been using it throughout the day every day which has lifted my spirit and made me feel more loved.
I can’t take credit for this as I came across it from the very inspiring Gabrielle Bernstein. Gabby is a motivational speaker, spiritual healer, author, yoga and meditation teacher. She is a very inspiring woman who is on a mission to help us shine and be incredibly happy. I came across her through a midwife who was promoting her work and was instantly attracted to the message that Gabby is spreading. I love women who are empowering and have a big love for spreading love through spiritualism, health, holistic living and yoga! In one of her recent emails she said something that instantly made me say YES! It was all about finding love for yourself and I am currently working on boosting the love in my life in all areas so reading her email made me come alive. And the next part was her prayer that she recommended to repeat in meditation and throughout the day. This, which I like to call a mantra, has become a favourite and I knew I had to share it as I have found so much benefit from using it in my meditation and in snippets throughout each day. This is the mantra:
Focus on the love that surrounds me.
It is such an easy mantra to remember and is so simple yet it has such power to transform a moment. It is so powerful that it can change the whole day to become abundant in love.
By using this mantra in my meditation and in daily life I have found that I have felt more at peace and filled with love this week. I have been calmer, enjoyed more beautiful moments with my amazing daughter and I have felt less cranky. As I am really missing dad at the moment, using mantras like this one really helps to feel more at peace and relaxed. It helps me to focus on the love that is around me. It helps me to remember the beauty that is in life right now and simply to embrace it. Whether it is a coincidence or it is something else in baby development, I have noticed that my daughter has been even sweeter and cuter this last week. Her actions, babbling (chatting) and emotions have been truly beautiful and she has been extra sweet in nature. Of course she was sweeter before this week but I have noticed something else in her. Maybe it is the extra love I am feeling which is influencing her emotion and openness to love, or maybe it is simply a new phase of her development, either way it is adorable to see more of her beautiful character shine. Enjoying more cuddles and laughs has added even more love to the week alongside reflecting on the love surrounding my life.
Yesterday hubby, myself, little one and the dogs headed out for a bike ride. Of course the dogs weren’t riding bikes, they instead chose to run around the trails. I absolutely love riding a bike it makes me feel so amazing and truly full of zest! I’ve had a bike since a very young age and always enjoyed playing out on the bike and going off on a fun ride out. It has never been about exercise, fitness or keeping fit and healthy. Biking has always (and all other hobbies) been about pure enjoyment, and simply doing it because I like it. So being able to get out on the bike now that little one is big enough to go in a child seat and wear a helmet is fantastic. She has really been enjoying it whilst sitting in her throne watching the world fly by and dogs zoom past us. When out on the trails yesterday the mantra was in mind and it helped me to really see the beauty all around. I felt love for the trees, love for the trail, love for cycling, love for my daughter being out on the mini adventure, love for the dogs thoroughly enjoying their zooming adventure, and love for my husband who took the morning off work so that he could join us to explore. I felt the love radiating through me simply by being present and just noticing life.
So, what can this mantra do? This mantra will help to see love. To feel love. It will help to simply notice the beauty of life, right here, right now.
Focus on the love that surrounds me.
